He will be remembered.

Just buried Ku Ning. After almost 24 hour struggle, he has passed on.

I am sadden with his going but I had thought of it even when Mr. Hubster took him out if the drain. Kalau dia hidup, alhamdulillah tapi kalau mati redha je la, as long as I have tried.

I suspect it's internal bleeding sebab jatuh longkang tu. His belly nampak hitam. And I think that lead to the constipation. Kesian dia..

Dapat la seminggu bersama. At least he went knowing what love is. He was a dear little thing. Purred so loud bila gosok.

Ku Ning will be missed.

Ku Ning the Tiny Kitty

Found a tiny kitty inside of my in-laws drain. It was raining slightly and the mother is nowhere to be found. Kes buang anak? huhuhu...

I didn't know what to do. Kalau tinggal, for sure mati la. So bawak balik KL. Bawak pegi vet. Dah la tak pernah pegi vet. Bawak la Ku Teh sekali untuk deworm and vaccine.

At first we headed to Kelana Jaya. In the website kata tutup 8.30pm. I wanted to go there sebab kata klinik for cats only and the doc is a Malay lady. Tapi we got there at 7.15pm, dah tutup. Hangin tul! So merempuh jam lagi pegi vet kat Taman Megah. Tak suka sebab area ni majority is Chinese, so for sure la doggie banyak. And I was right.

But no choice, sbb kalau tak si kecik ni tak makan minum whole day.

Charges, errkk..For the small one, RM45 (consultation RM25, ubat demam RM20). For Ku Teh, RM95 (consultation RM45, deworm RM5, vaccince RM45). Adehh..kopak..

I would like to put up the little one for adoption as I don't have the money, space, time for 3 cats. Tapi tersangatla kecik lagi untuk kasi orang. Ku Teh dah merajuk taknak masuk rumah...haishh...Vet said the chances for it to survive is 50-50 la jugak. Kitten 1-3 weeks ni takde mak susah la nak hidup..tak tau la camne..

We'll see.

Kitty Update

I still haven't taken the furkids to see the vet. It's been quite a busy month. However, I've gotten a pet carrier medium size, only RM55 in Kulim. Neat.

Kitty's diet. Basically, I think Ku Teh is somewhat fussy. She loves wet food more than kibbles. Sometimes she absolutely refuses to eat just kibbles. Whereas Ku Tam eats anything laid out. He's still a fraidy cat. I don't know how to tame him. Mr. Hubster and I have caught hik several time to make him get used to us. However, he still runs helter skelter when we try to touch him. Kitten's diet are Whiskas Jr. wet food + Whiskas Jr. kibbles + Royal Canin kitten kibbles.

I had to teach Ku Teh once only to use the cat litter box and voila, she's litter box trained. Ku Tam is smarter since he wasn't even taught and yet he knows where to do his business. For starters, I was using Tesco Cat Litter, which was RM13.80 per 8litres. It was ok but I think it doesn't do much odour control. So I bought Fussie Cat apple scented litter (RM13 per 5l @ Animal Safari,IPC) and mix it up with Mango Magic Kitty litter (RM15 per 10l, bought in Kulim) + wood pellets (RM7 per kg @ Kulim). Fussie Cat odour control is really great. Very pleasant. I'd recommend it for those living in small quarters (i.e condo, apartment, indoor cats).

I've also bought matching gravity auto feeder and waterer from an ad in Mudah.my. The 2 tier kitty cage was also from the same people. The feeder set was RM25, with a RM7 posting fee. Cage was RM130, which I think is quite cheap. But I have high hopes that I could upgrade the cage to a large 3 tier sometime in the future.

Behaviour wise...Ku Teh is sooooo manja. She loves being stroke and purrs loudly. Strange thing is she likes to climb up my lap and suckle on my clothes. I think she's a bit deprived of a mommy cat's love/milk. Kesian dia. Ku Tam, as i said before, still haven't gotten over his fear of people. Once in a while we get to trap him, dapatla pegang.

So that's the kitty update at the.moment. >*___*<

Look what the cat dragged in..

I'm kinda excited because....I'm going to have my own pet cat! It's been more than 20 years since I owned my own kitty (feeding strays at the backyard don't count), and now I'm starting this process again.

There was 2 abandoned kitten at my backyard. Both were feral but I've been feeding them and one of them has gotten used to me. The other one, in my opinion is a lost cause. I've managed only 2 times to catch the little rascal and both times he drew blood.

I've gotten a semi large cage, 3 tiers for her house. Yes, it's a her. But I read that  you're not to keep kittens in a cage. Well, putting her in the house is out of the question. I guess I have to pray hard that she's not going anywhere (outside of the backyard premise) when I leave the cage door open. So far, even in her wild days she hasn't the need to leave.

I'm not sure how old the kitten is. Judging from what I read on the Internet, she could be around 3 months old. To make sure, I'd have to ask the vet. Yes, I'm planning to take her to the vet, get vaccination, dewormed and etc. I'd like to do this right. But, doing it right would also mean $$$$ =P

Allright, I'll try to keep the progress posted here. Till then..
