Impromptu Ayam Goreng Berempah.

This has got to be one of the easiest dish ever. Sedap pulak tu. Plus, there's tons of variation on how to make the bumbu so there's actually no wrong or right.

Basic recipe always calls for bawang merah, bawang putih, halia, kunyit (fresh or serbuk pun ok), serbuk cili, jintan manis. Chicken has to be rub with salt.

Tonight I made mine with all the above and also curry powder, corn starch and black pepper.

Usually I like to use lemongrass too tapi malas nak pegi korek belakang rumah. Ada recipe with a long line of herbs and spices tapi buat apa nak banyak-banyak sangat pun kan?
Just blend everything and rub-a-dub-dub on the chicken.

What's important is probably the amount of time to marinate the chicken. Kalau sekejap sangat all the spice tak sempat bermesra dengan ayam. I think the chicken should marinate at least 4 hours. Lagi lama lagi bagus namun janganlah sampai busuk. Oleh itu, simpan dalam fridge ye..
